Privacy Policy
Short version: the Outkitted app is local-first. The gear and loadouts you create live in your own browser's storage, on your device. We don't have a copy, because there's no account and no server storing it.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter in the app — your closet items, loadouts, weights, prices, and notes —
is saved in your browser via localStorage. Clearing your browser data clears it.
We can't see it, and we can't recover it for you.
What the site collects
- Basic analytics. Like most sites, we may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which guides are useful. This is aggregate, not tied to your name.
- The newsletter. If you subscribe to The Loadout Letter, your email is stored by our email provider so we can send you the letter. Unsubscribe any time from the footer of any email.
- Outbound gear links. Gear links go straight to the manufacturer's site with no affiliate codes or tracking added by us. Once you're on their site, their privacy policy applies.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't build advertising profiles on you. We don't require an account to use the app.
